Yandex evaluates how Russian users actually behave on your site: dwell time, scroll depth, return visits, click-through from the SERP. International websites usually lose this game by default — content translated from English does not match Russian intent, the UI feels foreign, and competitors actively work their behavioural metrics. Query collection and preparation
I form a pool of queries to work with. I start with low- and mid-frequency queries — that’s safer and more effective at the start.

During the first 2–3 weeks I send minimal traffic, building search-engine trust in the natural growth of activity. For Google — 5–10 visits a day on long-tail queries.
Scaling and maintenance
