Task
A Russian site selling spare parts for truck-mounted cranes already ranked in the Yandex TOP-10 for most target queries but could not break into TOP-1–3. Competitors with similar content and backlinks held the top slots. Classic SEO levers were exhausted — an extra ranking factor was needed.
Brief: push 47 commercial Russian queries into Yandex TOP-1–3 fast, without rebuilding the site.
What I did
I audited current positions and behavioural metrics. The site lagged leaders only marginally on CTR, time on site and depth of view.
- Mapped 47 target queries and prioritised by frequency and commercial value
- Set up behavioural scenarios: targeted clicks from Yandex SERPs, navigation through the parts catalogue, product-card views, lead-form interaction
- Distributed load evenly day by day, mimicking organic interest growth
- Enabled competitor-snippet skipping to reinforce the relevance signal
- Monitored positions daily and tuned scenarios in real time
Result
Eleven days after launch, 81% of queries reached TOP-1. The cluster average dropped from 4.2 to 1.3. The site became the Yandex leader in the «truck-crane parts» niche, overtaking long-standing competitors.
TOP-10 visibility rose 64% → 81%. Hard queries like «гидроцилиндр телескопирования стрелы» and «опорно-поворотные устройства автокран» entered TOP-1 from a complete absence in the index.
